Tampa Bay Nitrogen Management Consortium
Local governments and private industries joined together in 1996 to form the Tampa Bay Nitrogen Management Consortium (NMC). The purpose of the NMC is to proactively manage nitrogen loads entering the bay. Together, these partners implement various projects to “hold-the-line” on nutrient pollution and improve water quality for the benefit of seagrass habitat in Tampa Bay. They also support ongoing monitoring and regular reporting on progress toward meeting established nitrogen targets. For more information, contact Maya Burke.
