BASIS7 will be coordinated with the annual Technological Transfer meeting of the Association of National Estuary Programs. The forum will share cutting-edge science, research, education, management, and policy findings to provide a comprehensive understanding of the Tampa Bay watershed and improve estuary management throughout the nation.

Scientists, resource managers and environmental educators from the Tampa Bay watershed and National Estuary Programs across the country will be invited to prepare presentations and contribute papers for inclusion in the BASIS 7 Proceedings. The coordinated meeting is planned for October 18-22, 2021. For more information, please contact TBEP Ecologist Dr. Gary Raulerson.

Become a Sponsor

Thank you for considering a sponsorship for the 2021 Bay Area Scientific Information Symposium (BASIS7) and Association of National Estuary Programs Technical Transfer meeting. This shared conference, to be held in downtown St. Petersburg during the week of Oct 18-22, 2021, gives scientists, resource managers, decision makers, students, and community members an opportunity to discuss and learn about research and restoration projects conducted throughout both the nation and the Tampa Bay watershed. Your support will help us: 1) continue the tradition of hosting an affordable conference for all attendees, 2) provide student scholarships for the next generation of Tampa Bay scientists and stewards to attend, present and learn at this every 5-year regional forum, and 3) support publication of the proceedings to document the current state of estuarine science and management in Tampa Bay. This can only happen with support from our partners who share our appreciation for linking cutting-edge science to the management needs of the Tampa Bay estuary. To this end, we are reaching out to organizations and individuals interested in promoting the exchange of ongoing research and restoration of Tampa Bay among regional and national attendees. With your support of this programming, we remain confident that Tampa Bay will continue to be a globally-recognized restoration success story.
