Call for Papers

Due: June 30, 2022

We are currently seeking publication of the full conference proceedings based on the presentations and posters shared at BASIS7-ANEP, but we need your help! Please prepare a manuscript based on the work you presented and submit it for review no later than June 30, 2022.

We will be working with the journal Florida Scientist to create a special issue dedicated to the proceedings. Our goal is to get all papers through the peer-review and editorial process over the summer and officially publish the Proceedings of the BASIS7-ANEP Conference by the end of 2022. At that point, we will archive the special issue with the prior BASIS proceeding documents on the BASIS webpage.

If you have any questions about the process or expectations for submissions, please feel free to reach out to Ed Sherwood () or Dr. Marcus Beck ().

Bay Area Scientific Information Symposium

& The Association of National Estuary Programs

BASIS7-ANEP was held in person and virtually from February 28th to March 4th, 2022 in St. Petersburg, FL. The forum shared cutting-edge science, research, education, management, and policy findings to provide a comprehensive understanding of the Tampa Bay watershed and improve estuary management throughout the nation.

Scientists, resource managers, and environmental educators gathered to provide updates on the state of their respective bays and participate in discussions about the challenges facing regional estuaries. Presentations and papers will be included in the BASIS7 Proceedings.

Conference resources are available below, including session videos with chapter links to each presentation, a link to the full program, and a library of photos taken by TBEP staff and event attendees.
