Experiential Education

Experiential education is a way of teaching that focuses on learning through experience and challenges, followed by reflection to encourage growth. It happens when participants take part in carefully planned activities and then think about what they learned. These activities encourage students to take initiative, make decisions, and take responsibility for what happens. The lessons learned are personal and help shape future learning experiences. TBEP hosts experiential education activities throughout the watershed to increase knowledge of key objectives.
