TBERF
The Tampa Bay Environmental Restoration Fund (TBERF) is a competitive grant program that supports habitat restoration and water quality improvement projects, applied research, and education priorities in the Tampa Bay watershed. Tampa Bay Estuary Program and Restore America’s Estuaries co-manage the program to bring tangible environmental benefits to the estuary. The 2025 TBERF Request for Proposals solicitation period is currently open and will close on March 12. Awards typically range from $25,000-$250,000. A minimum 1:1 funding match is required, which can be shown through cash or in-kind goods and services. Eligible applicants include government entities, non-profit organizations, and educational institutions. Projects should not exceed a three-year timeline from contract execution to completion. Approximately $700,000 may be made available for project funding. Interested applicants are encouraged to attend the February 12 informational webinar.
Funding for the 2025 TBERF has been provided by Hillsborough County, Manatee County, Community Foundation of Tampa Bay, Pinellas County, Environmental Protection Commission of Hillsborough County, and Tampa Bay Estuary Program.
