Seagrass Transect Training: Surveyor Intercalibration
The Tampa Bay Seagrass Transect Training will be held on June 18, 2024 from 9am-12pm at the Sunshine Skyway Bridge North Rest Area by the USCGC Blackthorn Memorial. The focus of this event will be on intercalibrating the surveyors of the Tampa Bay InteragencySeagrass Transect Monitoring Program. We will NOT go over the monitoring protocol during this event. If you would like to learn the protocol, hear our tips and tricks for monitoring seagrass, and become confident in macroalgae ID, register for the in-person Seagrass Transect Training on June 11, 2025. You can register for that event here.
Please bring the following materials to the training:
- Mask, snorkel, booties (NO fins)
- Weight belt
- Ruler
- Datasheet, pencils, clipboard OR cell phone with access to Data Entry Portal
- Snacks, water, other personal field day supplies
